Yugo’s Adult Voice is Sexy
image

I’ve been thinking about this since the first premiere of episode 10. It’s assertive and soft at the same time. I’ve watched the last 3 (or 4) episodes many times, and I can’t get over his voice. It’s so pleasant!

Or maybe I love how it sounds in French.

I don’t think I want to hear him speak English! lol Oh damn and the dub comes out in May! I hope they use the French VAs. I prefer their voices over the Netflix English version (I wasn’t a fan of Yugo’s voice in that).

I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE VA LOOKS LIKE. It could ruin the illusion. That voice belongs to Yugo now. IDGAF!

image

"I would've preferred it if Amalia were our Queen instead."

image

"Like many others, sweetie, but you can't say that right now."

image

"Where did Amalia go, Mum?"

image

"She's gone explore the world, like she usually does."

Okay, but this little piece of dialogue is crucial to understand so many things about the Sadida and their opinion on their royal family.

And we stan that little girl. Yes, baby, I, too, wish Amalia was queen instead. I don't trust Armand and Aurora as far as I can throw them.

It's already been established Armand resents his sister not only because of her wanderlust or the fact that their father seemed to favour her, but because so does their people.

The fact that there are apparently many who support Amalia, the younger princess, over her brother, the Crown Prince, comes to show that for the Sadida actions speak louder than words.

There is no denying that both royal siblings care immensely about their kingdom. Armand was in the front lines when Nox attacked alongside King Oakheart and many of Amalia's best, most mature moments were in relation to her wanting to protect and serve her people. Like when she decided to stand up against Armand and inform their father of Nox's attacks back in season one, or how she was more than willing to forego her chance to marry for love and marry Harebourg instead if that meant her kingdom would survive Ogrest's Chaos in the OVA.

The difference between the two of them, however, especially in the eyes of their people, is their actions or, more accurately, the consequences of said actions.

Armand is the Crown Prince, and he remains in their kingdom carrying out his duties while Amalia went off to explore the world and have fun, away from her duties. At first glance, that should make Armand the better choice in the eyes of the Sadida, except that also means they've probably been far more subjected to his less pleasant moments.

Having to watch your tongue out of fear of severe punishment or even death just because the prince is sensitive over his bad breath is overkill, plain and simple.

Not to mention, every time Amalia left her kingdom, her adventuring evolved into a life-or-death mission to save the world.

  1. With Nox, the fact that she ran away allowed her to gain the intel needed to go back home and warn them of the upcoming attack. Something Armand refused to do anything about until King Oakheart entered the picture and took matters into his own hands, all because he couldn't believe his sister would ever be more than a spoiled brat trying to run away from her responsibilities.
  2. With Quilby, what at first was a simple, humanitarian mission to retrieve his dofus and welcome the Eliatrope children eventually turned into a desperate battle for the survival of their world.
  3. Again, in the OVAs, the entirety of the Sadida kingdom was aware and celebrated Amalia's sense of responsibility and selfless decision to enter an arranged marriage for their sake. I haven't watched beyond the Throne of Ice, so I don't know if the Sadida ever found out Harebourg's true plans for their forest, but if they did, all the more reason to respect Amalia for refusing to put her people in jeopardy.
  4. Finally, people talk. In season 3, it's made apparent that since Aurora entered the picture (at the very least), the royal siblings' relationship has strained practically to the point of no return. And while Amalia isolated herself and mourned her father's deteriorating health, it's very likely the castle guards and servants bore witness to how the prince's treatment of his sister worsened each day. So I wouldn't be surprised if word got out and the rest of the kingdom sympathised with Amalia either.

Now, it is true that while Amalia does have a sense of responsibility and duty to her kingdom and a deep love for her people, despite her royal upbringing, she is not really made for the stifling life of royalty. Hence, her constant wanderlust. In that regard, Armand is indeed the most reliable of the two.

It just so happens that when it comes to personal flaws and his treatment of others he is wholly unreliable. It's his way or the highway. And that is a very terrifying quality for a king to have, to be unable to compromise.

But most importantly, what really sets these two apart in the way their people perceive them is that while Armand is a prince, Amalia is a hero. And she has proven time and time again that she will do everything in her power to assure everyone's safety and well-being.

And that alone speaks volumes of a ruler's true character.

Now that I’ve watched season 4 and season 3 I think this comment is more towards Aurora than it is Armand. I think the sadida people would rather have Amalia be queen and her brother, Armand, be king—Rule as siblings. Than have Armand be king and his wife, Aurora, as queen.

I believe (and it’s kind of implied) that Aurora doesn’t care about the Sadida kingdom (I mean da girl deserted during their war). Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like she cared more about status (and her people (as she should)) than she did the Sadida kingdom. THE KINGDOM SHE IS NOW QUEEN OF.

I feel this way because of that one scene in the thrown room. It feels like she holds herself like the other rulers of the world of twelve (on a high horse).

image

(In this scene, I know Yugo made a slight mistake in title addressment to King Armand by calling him Prince Armand but the tone she gives to correct him…major attitude-unnecessary)

We can see in season 1 and 2, though there is a hierarchy there is also familiarity between the Sadida royal and their subjects. You can see this simply by how the royals don’t wear flashy clothes or even wear gold (though they have it) like the other nations (Bonta, Astrub, and Brakmar in particular).

image

It’s not shown within the series (nor spoken about) but I don’t think Aurora put in the effort to get to know her new kingdom.

— We’ve seen time and time again that Amalia is a girl’s girl (look at how quickly Amalia and Nora became acquainted). So if she doesn’t like Aurora—there’s a BIG reason. Amalia already clocked her as manipulative. She was trying to set Amalia up with her brothers/cousins (instead of other royals she’s familiar with). So that can be interpreted as helping her race/kingdom gain more from the Sadidas. But I think, (and this is my opinion) Aurora has not made an effort to get to know the people she will be ruling over or even Amalia. And that’s why Amalia doesn’t like her. We know Amalia stans for her kingdom/people (like Aurora does for her own). But if you don’t fuck with her people you don’t fuck with her (especially if you’re queen of said people).—

Yes, Aurora loves Armand, her husband the king. But you can love your man and not give a half of a damn about his people. Both can be true.

When Aurora and Armand finally became king and queen she looked down at the people with tearful glee. That to me came off as “I’m finally the queen.” She did not look over to Armand, who is clearly unhappy and to me gives off, “I’m king but I wish I weren’t.” Personally, I found that telling.

image

Just look at their expressions. She has lived in the Sadida kingdom for some time now, the loss of her father-in-law should have somewhat of an impact on her, but she is all smiles here. A neutral expression would’ve been better than a full on smile. Or a soft smile while looking at Armand.

In season 4 (and in season 3), it kinda felt like Aurora has her own agenda. MY HYPOTHESIS - that agenda involves (my opinion) owning the Sadida kingdom. I feel like her fam and she (or maybe just she) could possibly have a plan that might come to fruition in the manga. But this is all just me overthinking.

The only reason I’m posting this is because someone came to Aurora’s defense on Twitter. Though I can understand their perspective, at the same time, I feel differently about it. I’ve been thinking about this for some time and wanted to share my perspective. I didn’t want to make multiple posts so that’s why I posted this on Tumblr.

The moment we were waiting for!!!❤️ Yumalia!! 💚💙

She looks so happy!! 😊

I am really forward to the manga and see how their couple will be.

Tbh, I would have like a better wedding attire for both of them. Pinpin and Eva had a sadida wedding and their cloths were so pretty.

I’ve looked at this last GIF several times. SO MANY TIMES. And my conclusion—he was about to kiss her but she beat him to it.

His movement is very subtle you can barely notice it but he begins to lean in and his eyes begin to slowly close as if he was about to kiss her. But she rushes in to kiss him and this surprises him then he melts into it.

When you watch this last GIF solely focus on him. Don’t look at her. Just watch Yugo. And you can see it. Am I wrong?

18 more days until the gotdamn manga breaks our hearts.

@cocogum @geekgirles do you agree?

IDK if you brought it up.

But one thing I noticed is that in season 4 when Yugo, Amalia, and the Eliatrope goddess where together, his mother kind of (softly) physically got between them.

I think...
Ep 2 or 3 (idk): when Yugo is watching Amalia mourn her father and wants to jump down and support her, she pulls him away. Though it was a good move, Amalia needed to be alone/with her brother.
Ep 11: when Amalia calls out to Yugo and he looks at her and seemingly wants to go to her--the goddess turns him towards her.
...these are the only examples but they're there.

To me, I think it was to show blood-family vs found-family. His relationship with the Eliatrope goddess isn't even as close to deep as it is with Amalia, Percedal, Ruel, Alibert, and Eva. Even Yugo said it himself, he feels at home with Alibert (and his friends).

By the end when the goddess wanted to leave the planet with all of her eliatropes (Yugo included), Yugo chose to stay and fight with his found family.

As someone once said (before someone else twisted it), "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb."

Just something that came to mind after rewatching the entire season in English sub.

(If you can, you can add the clips/GIFs) because IDK how to do that.

I love how you interpreted those scenes because that’s exactly what it was implying.

Back when Yugo wanted to intervene in Amalia’s private moment (yes it was episode 3), I didn’t think much about how the Eliatrope goddess had pushed him away from her because Amalia did deserve the privacy so it was normal for his mother to be like “your bae is in pain right now and it’s kinda your fault a bit for pulling her away from her dad so come here”.

image

But now that we’ve seen episode 11, yeah no it’s clear that she was only trying to cut off Yugo from the others.

Like the way she did it was so sudden too cuz she just ruined Yugo and Amalia’s reunion. The others had proper moments where see them reacting and conversing with Yugo when they realized he grew up (Ruel and the Percedal family).

image

But with Amalia, you can’t help but feel like it was going to go somewhere before it suddenly got cut short because his mother butt in. You can even see how her hair hides the others from Yugo! The only reason why Joris didn’t get cut off like the others was because he was standing on the opposite side.

Like I get that she’s supposed to not mind his friends (since she had no problem addressing them as ‘his friends’ at some point) but the Eliatrope goddess really reminds me of a clingy mother who can’t stop hogging her kids. And because of this bad habit of hers, we can also see how her relationships with her kids reflect their distinct dynamics with her:

Yugo is that one kid who wants to be independent but can’t do anything because his mother thinks he can’t survive without her.

Qilby is that one kid who’s greatly dependent on his mother to shower him with love and affection. He sees her as the only source of light in this world who can give him what he needs. A perfect mama’s boy that every needy mom wished to have.

Nora is that one kid who, just like Yugo, recognizes her mother’s flaws but instead tries to help her by shouldering all the responsibilities on herself. Being the voice of reason in the family, the balance.

Efrim is the one who knows his mother’s imperfections and hates her for it because he’s aware that she comes first before her children.

Adamaï is that one forgotten kid. That’s it. He doesn’t get some love as much as Yugo. And doesn’t get mentioned by his mother as much as Nora and Qilby.

She’s literally the embodiment of love but because of her flaw, she’s depicted as the wrong kind of love, the one that’s too clingy, too overprotective, too suffocating.

Another thing I notice. She does that “weaponized tears” thing. Trying to use her tears to get her way.

I just rewatched the whole season again and one thing I don’t get is….

The Eliatrope goddess said that the Necrom are indestructible. Can’t be defeated not even by the gods.

image

However, Armand defeated the necrome dragon.
…Or is it just immobilized?
If it is defeat/dead—then that means they can be defeated if they’re impaled at multiple points right?

And if it can die…then so can necro Efrim right?
He would not be able to return to his dofus but he would at least no longer be a threat. The way they concluded Efrim and Nora is bittersweet, but I just wanted to throw that out there. Me trying to give this a happy ending—I feel like the power of his dofus, Nora, with the aid of the Eliatrope goddess could heal him and restore his original wakfu (but I also feel an Eniripsa would also have to be there to help too).

One more thing, what would happen if toross released the dofus? Would he and his subjects no longer be necroses and finally die? Why hasn’t he let go of the dofus that he claims helped him destroy his world? Is it guilt? Guilt because he brought the destruction of his world so to repent he must forever attend to his necrome subjects’ need for Wakfu.

I would like to know what would happen if he relinquished the power of the dofus.

I Watched the Oropo Special ….

I did not like it. 👎

It didn’t explain anything. It was 40 mins of action fighting and nothing else. No plot. No three-act structure. No “true” story.

It felt like it was “dark” to be “dark” or whatever the fuck that means. More so…It lacked natural depth and tried to harness it via murder and self-harrm the foe. It was very artificial…or superficial to me.

Maybe, I’m missing something but it did not aappeal to me.

The only thing I took from it was that all of Yugo’s copies suck. Are they suppose to represent his dark side or some shit. I honestly, don’t want to use brain power for this, so I’m ending it here.

I do not recommend watching it unless you enjoy action fighting

His little expressions are everything to me

He’s such a cube patootie

He's the perfect balance between hunk and cutie patootie 💗💗💗

Yugo is my new anime husband!

He’s just so cute! GAWD! Imagine if this show was never cancelled!!? We could have had more seasons of him like this!

Not a Wakfu Account

I know I have been talking about Wakfu A LOT but this is not a Wakfu Fan account. This is a personal account.

I do LOVE the show but I’m in hyperfixation mode at the moment. This mode is slowly fading away.

I’ll go back to posting my regular degular art reblogs, personal journals, and nothing within a week.

If you followed me for Wakfu, just know that the posts will eventually stop.

“Dally IS A WOMAN!!”

One of my favorite parts in the entire series.

Amalia! my sweetheart, what are you thinking?! lmao That is a mischievous expression you have there!

The Percedal twins are so cute trying to understand!
Elyly: Daddy is mommy?
Flopin: I don’t know!

Ruel checking to make sure he didn’t miss anything! lol

Dally, Eva and Yugo just shocked and confused

This scene just gives! lol
